Autumn Review - 2015

Afforestation project Laslaul Mic, Mures County
Home / Autumn Review - 2015

Our first afforestation project has entered its second year – 95% of the seedlings have been caught.

Our first afforestation project it’s in the second year and we have the first results related to seedlings that were planted this year and the year before. In this fall we were able to make a balance of the seedlings that survived through a pretty dry summer. The team of forest specialists that we work with managed to make a control for the 3 ha acacia plantation in Laslaul Mic and the result was much better than expected, 95 % of seedlings survived. We are so glad to hear that and we really hope the trees to be just as strong for this winter.

We are getting ready for a new project, a new land in Suplac, Mures county. Initially we wanted to start the second project this autumn, but the land we wanted to use has gone through several works and need to be flattened in order to successfully be planted.

Staring with spring 2016 we would start the new project on a land with an area of about 3 ha. We would like to make all the planting with the help of volunteers, we have already started the preparations. The new project would be named: The Project of plantation Suplac 2016. Come and join us, whether you come as a volunteers or just a simple supporter and spread the information about our project to all your friends!

If you want to get involved in the planting for the new project, we are waiting your email in order to subscribe at info@cleanwood.org

With love of green,
